There are also ways of connecting to IRC even when you are not on a PC, via your Cellphone/Mobile, with this brilliant Java-IRC Client called JMIRC-M.

No Barcode Reader Application, Check Out the Alternatives
If you have a Nokia Phone, the download is easy, Grab your Nokia phone, Goto the "Barcode Reader" application and point your camera at this image, simply allow the download, then configure using the following information below:
* Open the "Barcode Reader" application on your Nokia phone.
Press Options, Profiles, Options, Add, then enter the following:
* Press OK button to Save the Profile.
After a short delay, You will connect to the IRC Server.
If you have any problems, Please join the IRC from your PC and ask us :)
* Scan the Barcode image on the right.
* This will send the URL to your phone.
* Click on the URL to automatically download JMIRC-M.
* Configure with the following options:
Profile's Name: MillBro Chat
Nick: [your nickname]
Alternative Nick: [alternative nickname]
Server: irc.millbrochat.co.uk
Port: 6667
Perform: /msg NickServ Identify [pass]; /Join #Chat;
UserName: [as nickname above]
Real Name: [nickname]
Encoding: Leave as UTF-8
Server Password: Leave Blank
* Select The Profile.
* Press Options > Connect.
